I’ve always wanted to join a Jiu Jitsu gym, but was always hesitant because I would hear mixed reviews of other gyms. Professor Sam is not only a great teacher, but a great human being and it rubs off on everyone in the gym. Sam works with everyone, and you can tell he actually wants his students to learn and progress. Sam makes everyone feel comfortable, and so do the other students in the class regardless of experience level. They also do MMA, Mui Thai, No Gi classes, and you can go to every class if you’d like. If you’ve been hesitant or don’t like your current gym, TRA Bayonne is a must join.
Absolutely fantastic and Professor Samuel Quito is excellent with his students. He is very patient, great with explaining the maneuvers, and finding new ways to achieve the same goal. I could not recommend him high enough. I just completed my second class and cannot wait for my next!
Instructor Sam Quito has been my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai teacher for the past year, first starting at the Jersey City TRA location and now Bayonne. The class times work with my work schedule, and parking is easy to find. I look forward to start taking MMA classes there as well from someone who has professional fight experience. Getting strong and fit is also a nice side benefit to having fun.
